Default Intake save mpg?

I want to get a CAI hoping it'll save me some gas... Is it worth it or no? If so what brand? Does anyone have a used one? What are the hp / torque gains I may receive thanks

"Save gas" and "350Z" in the same line.

Syntax error. Does not compute.

Consider operand "Prius".

PS OP, on your actual questions, as others have said, don't expect too much... but OTOH, it's not going to hurt anything so long as the "CA" part of "CAI" is adhered to. That is, intake isolation from engine heat, e.g., front mounted or sealed air box.

Meh- just stick with the OEM intake and airbox. Nissan did a good job with them and there's no way in hell that a CAI will improve mileage.

I got the K&N drop-ins. Much better than putting in a CAI on the Z. For some reason these cars do not like aftermarket intakes.

Just installed my Volant intake that I bought from http://4wheelonline.com/Volant_Performance.27675. Didn't notice any mpg improvement. There's no power gain also but I like the new sound and I can really feel that there's an improvement in throttle response.

If the intake on a 350z got you hot and bothered I don't want to think about what the exhaust note out of that 427 does to you.

Why not just wait and do long tubes instead of doing twice the work? Are headers easy to do on the Vette?

yeah that would be nice, but things are expensive

- Lingenfelter heads $3800
- LG Motorsports LTH and H pipe $2000

i will pay for the heads to get installed, and looking in the engine bay of the vette, headers are easily accessible and from videos they just drop down from under the car

I always preferred the x-pipe to h-pipe. Always seemed to balance out the tone in my opinion. Don't know if it really does anything but the cars I've heard with the x-pipe just seem a little more even. Either way it'll sound wicked.
