Default Fast Intentions HFC's

Does anyone have the FI hfc's paired with the motordyne tdx2? If so, is there any rasp? I have the ART pipes/tdx2 setup and can't stand the test pipe fuel smell. I'm thinking about make the switch. Any input would be great.

You get used to the smell.

Nah I doubt it. I can't see myself getting used to something that smells like that daily.

Yes, all ART pipes have resonators.

OP, i have the exact same setup you have and I just failed visual emissions. What research are you finding for HFCs? Berk? Borla? Z1?

I found the following Motordyne + HFC threads:

Kinetix '07 HFC - $394

Berk HFC - $545

Stillen HFC - $587

Z1 Motorsports HFC - $388

Are any of these three any better then the others? I do fun street driving/autoX only. No track. Also, I called up Z1 and they said that their flow rate is more then any of the others. I'm pretty sure that the other mfgs would say the same thing..

I heard that the Berks are the best out of the 3. Too raspy for my taste though. I just ordered the FI Resonated HFC's. They sound similar to the ART pipes. Here's a vid.

Why the FI when they cost $600-700? Just because they sound like the ART?

Build quality and of course the sound. There is a guy on here that wrote up a good review about them. Let me see if I can find a link.

ok so FI's own website says the only difference between the non-resonated and the resonated HFC is the noise. NRs are loud, Resonated are less loud. I need a point of comparison. Are my ART pipes louder then both? So it goes Resonated, Non-Reson, ART (increasing loudness)?

This is what I don't like. I see in that thread people fawning over the resonated HFC, hell my ARTs are resonated, but then people in other threads saying anything resonated that close to your engine is dangerous. FI says their products eliminates rasping, so does Z1. Z1 doesnt have resonators, so it won't be as quiet?

The IT world is so much easier, benchmarks and benchmarks galore :/
