Default NISMO 350Z R-Tune Sports Exhaust System

Is this Nismo remaking the S-Tune?

I was going to ask about it on here first. I wanted to know if this was just a remake of the S-Tune or just closer to the exhaust that came of the 350z Nismos.

Either way, I saw it pop up on Z1 and ordered it ASAP. I miss my old S-Tune, said screw it and I'm hoping its just a newer version. When it shows up I'll report back and let you guys know. If this is the case we don't have to wait for a used one to pop up on here.

I'm curious about it as well. It appears to be lighter. I have the OEM nismo and I run a Stillen S.C. with HFC's, Tanabe Y pipe into the OEM straight/nismo section. If this is an upgrade, I would love to go with this one.

R-Tune Exhaust

This is what Z1 Motorsports has pictured as the R-Tune :O It kind of reminds me of the HKS exhaust without the Helmholtz Resonators.

Looks nice, but not a fan of H pipe designed exhaust systems.

Not sure of you are trying to insult, I personally do not like H pipe designed exhaust systems because it's only good for low end performance or vehicles that make power early on the powerband. The higher you rev, the H pipe becomes more of an obstruction.

No insult what so ever, just stating the obvious, hell I can't even remember if there are any TD exhausts without H pipes is there? I think that setup would work for Zs since most won't see high RPMs

I was looking at that pic and wondering if it's actually an H-pipe or is it just a much needed brace?

I'm sure it's open and not just a brace, it's VERY common in a lot of JDM exhausts for this car. Even the HKS Y pipe has a crossover pipe like that, every exhaust system they sell has it actually.

That's an H pipe, Mic. It's obvious from the picture. Idk wtf this idiot is talking about Y pipes like it is a matter of concern here when it is not used for this NISMO exhaust

The obvious he is stating has nothing to do with my original comment. I'm specifically talking about this H pipe exhaust system being a waste on a Z. If 7k and up is low revving he is obviously high.

No need for the damn attitude, I never called you anything man. I simply stated that a lot of exhausts for these cars have a H pipes, and it's a common thing on JDM exhausts (which NISMO is) and I'm not high, just don't consider the peak power RPM of the average VQ high, if it was 8000+ then I would.

The death of the Z is a line of vehicles, so nostalgia maybe?

I'm all for weight savings and such but to pay an amount that's half the value of my car for an exhaust system? Ehhhhh, not s'much.

I could buy 5 full Invidia Gemini exhausts for that much!

Guess I'm just not that hardcore.... Imagine how I'd cry the first time I scraped that on a speed bump. Hello, real world! Laff....

For that coin you could almost get a supercharger! If you want to save 18lbs, remove spare tire, carpet, random plastic interior bits and drive around on 1/4 tank all the time
