Default I have Injen SES, What should i do with Cats?

I Just recently purchases the Injen SES exhaust (angled) and I have been seeing that most guys can get some pretty good HP gains from changing the stock cats. What do you guys recommend for this exhaust set-up? I know a lot of people swear by high flow and others by test pipes. Which brand, which style, and I don't want to ruin the sweet sound from the injen exhaust.

Thanks

I would go with HF cats instead of test pipes. The HF cats flow much better than stock, are not as loud and raspy as test pipes and reduce air pollution. The Crawford and Kinetix ones are nice.

yea, definetly go with hf cats. the kinetix and crawford cats are pretty much the same, just a price and appearance difference. the random tech cats aren't raspy, but are a little less polished in sound compared to the kinetix/crawford cats, hence the slightly higher flow rate. if i was you i would go with the kinetix/crawford cats, because the injen exhaust doesnt need anymore "less polished" sound added to it. not that the injen is raspy, just not that deep in tone.

Well, I already had the Injen CAI and Crawford Plenum on the car so that might make a difference. When I added the HF cats I really didn't notice a difference in sound to tell you the truth. I think that after some time went by and the HF cats had some miles on them the sound became a little deeper, but I also added headers shortly after adding the HF cats. The HF cats still took time and some miles on them before the sound stopped changing, headers or no headers. I love the sound of my car now. Yes, it is loud and very deep. When I get on it the sound is so deep and loud to start that you can't hear yourself think, but as the rpms start to climb the sound is simply beautiful. With my current setup I get a little cackling on deceleration as well which I love to hear My 69 Camaro SS does the same thing and really sounds great.

You guys are awesome, all the personal experience you guys have gained through trials is really helping me out. Those clips sound really great. Anymore input from other people would be greatly appreciated, even if it was to just agree with previous posts.

Thanks,
Alex
