Are these really Nismo Cats?
http://www.i-m-racing.com/nispcaco35.html
I thought Nismo decided against making these? And if this is for real, then I'd think I would have herd about it from you guys first??
Anyone know anything?
EDIT: Ha, look at the price...

Never heard about them not being made. They've been available to order for some time. The main reason you haven't heard about it is that no one wants to pay that much for a pair of cats.
Ok well look at this..
"Now here's the drum roll...... NO F/I in the pipeline! NO ECU, NO CATs.These are things that the US Federal government doesn't want you to have."

actually nismo cats are VERY EXPENSIVE around the world.... even in Japan, they sell that pair of cats for roughly around that price tag too! and those cats are made by Weldina as well as the nismo cat-back exhaust system

I have the NISMO cats.. as part of my NISMO Resetting Package that I bought in September, 2003. I love them.
There is no "raspiness" that has been reported with other maker cats between 2500-3500 RPM in all gears. The raspy noise only happens in 5th gear around 4000 RPM.
Yes, they are pricey.. so is everything here... but the quality, design, and output is unequaled in my opinion.
Even thinking about upgrading to the S1 option...

Alright thanks for clearing that up for me guys.
Curious, how much does the ECU cost if you were to special order it?
I really wish those cats were cheaper because I'd love to have them... Stune or Rtune?

I think you should be able to buy the Nismo ECM directly from Nismo though.... because they "replace" your ECM/ECU with their ECM instead of going through reflash (based on the info given to me by fairladyZ in Japan in the other thread).
So I GUESS it might just be a plug and play type... oh yeah.. don't know if our ECU is "unique" to every car though, the question is... can we just plug in the nismo ECM and expecting our car to be turned on at all (disregard the fuel type)?
cheers,
