Default Injen SES Highway Noise Level

Does it drone or make any annoying noises at highway/cruising speeds? I know it sounds LOUD at WOT but no one really mentioned how it sounds at cruising speeds. Thanks.

I have the SES with test pipes, prolly the loudest set-up you can get without going custom, I dont think its bad at all. If you drive normal its very civil....

The car will drone around 75 to 80 mph in 6th. It doesn't bother me at all tho and the sound is just beautiful to me. Don't get me wrong I like the sound of the other exhausts, but to me, injen is music to my ears . And as said above, at cruising speeds it is very civil and can be quite silent. Sometimes tho I set off car alarms in parking lots just cruising by. The exhaust does not sound ricey at all.

just be ready to be surprised at crusing speeds...the first day i got it on i drove home on the highway and i was actually a bit annoyed....it was verrrrry loud at 2900-3200 rpm and since i have a 5at it stays at that rpm pretty much all the time

if you keep it at around 3500 it calms down a bit... i got used to it and now i love it...pretty sick exhaust to say the least

What size are the tips compared to Stock? Is it a True Dual Stainless? I wouldn't need to get a y-pipe would I? What are the HP numbers compared to other exhausts like the Fujitsubo w/ japtrix or jic y-pipe? What's the best price people have seen on this?

Any other info you all would like to provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

you dont need a Y pipe..and you cant really find a brand new angled tip exhaust anymore..it is true dual i believe..it has a high ranking of HP numbers but not the highest...but #'s will vary on every car

i would also like to know...can you install a y-pipe with this exhaust...cause the pipes go all teh way from the cats to the end so where would the Y pipe go?

just finished installing mine, theres no Y you pull the whole stock exhaust off after the cats starting with the Ypipe. it remains 2 pipes the entire way, the gasses from one side will never meet the other side.

does it drone... its loud Ill give it that. but its nearly quiet when cruising. but even "civil" acceleration gets you substantial bass.

gonna post a thread with photos, and sound clips to come.

heh realized you have the exhaust havabooz. you couldnt have a Y, you start with 2 and end with 2. so by default youd have to have an X. itd be kind odd to go from 2 cats to 1 pipe to 2 mufflers.
