Default CEL with race pipes!?!?

I have been getting a check engine light lately with my race pipe/Injen setup. I took it to the dealer so they could tell me what the light was from and they said that the CEL will always come on because I have no cats. The guy also said that there is a sensor that checks emissions. He reset the light and I thought everything was going well until about a week later when it came back on. My question is, should I check it again or just live with a CEL all the time. Also, if the CEL is on, could my AF ratio be off?

The light is probably going off because of the oxygen sensors after the cat not reading what it thinks it should, although I have had my test pipes on for a few weeks now and made road trips and no light so far.

To do away with this you can install something to fool the ECU, serch for skidazzle, he just posted about something he made up for that, or you can buy a scantool that lets you read the ECU check the reason for the light and reset the light. I got mine from www.digimoto.com for 100 bucks you can't go wrong.

WHAT TYPE OF THINGS CAN YOU DO WITH IT OTHER THAN RE SETTING THE ECU?

Check out the site, it has demos. But you can monitor various readings from the ECU like coolant temp, rpms, inlet temp, inlet airflow, timing, o2 sensors....... and log them to export to excel or similar, also has a 1/4 mile feature and measures 0-60, 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile trap speed..... also has a dyno feature although not extremely easy to make work....

I couldnt see on the site, but can you check your A/F ratio, or just check the sensor to see if it is normal?

I don't believe there is an AF sensor on the car, that is something that when at the dyno they hook it up, if you want AF ratio you need to install that separately. The closest you get with the car sensors is the o2 sensor measuring lean or rich condition and that can be seen with the OBD2 dealer scanner.
