Default Changing the color of the popcharger

I wanted to change the color of the popcharger from the bluish greeen to red. Should I just wash the filter so that the JWT oil comes out and then respray it after it dries with the K&N filter oil which is red? am i thinking right here

I don't want to paint the tube. I'm leaving the stock tube black. I wanted to change the color of the filter since I heard that the oil is what gives it the color.

Yes. The K&N oil will make your filter red. Be sure to clean it good to get the blue oil out (or it will turn blackish).

The k&n kit comes with the cleaner. Use liberally. I washed mine twice before I got all the blue off. The cotton filter material is white so it is easy to tell when its clean..

i think u can use running water... just remember to pour from the inside so all the dirt stays on the outer part of the filter

My popcharger has turned gray after a while of use. I actually like this color. Is there any harm in not re-oiling the filter?

Its good to have oil on the filter. Even if your color of your filter goes out that does not mean than all of the oil is gone. Filters such as the jwt and K&N has their pre-oiled so no oil is needed for around 30,000 miles.
