Default Anyone with raspy, buzzing crawford cats ???

Hey all,
After reading an endless amount of posts of people complaining about the sapiness of their RT cats there is NO chance i would get the RT's. Just wondering if anyone has had any raspy and buzzing problems with the crawford cats?
Thanks
Matt

Default Nothing here.........

Have had the Crawford headers & cats for a few months now & no buzz/rasp here. After install had a little vibration noise once in a while, but it was due to the Nismo exhaust connection angle at the cat connection pushing the cats up higher & they were vibrating on the heat shield once in a while. Simply pulled the cats down tighter with the cross support & it ended.

The cats add a nice "noise" to both stock & aftermarket exhausts... add headers and you hear a beast roaring - ha!

No rasp here either. Good cats, good price, great vendor. I wish Doug sold everything I wanted for my car because he is hands down the best person I have had the pleasure of doing business with. I even drove 11 hours to TN just to visit during a Middle East TN Z-Car club event. Had a blast and got to meet some great people including Z CRUZN.

Default Hey Iowa!!!

How ya doin' my friend? We need another get-together...maybe closer to your neck of the woods this time - ha! Yes, I agree with you - I wish Doug could supply ALL my Z stuff - a great guy for sure! I'll be going down in July or Aug for him to do my JWT flywheel & clutch - yippee!! Doing the S-tune suspension in a couple weeks as well. Man, I still can't stop thinkin' 'bout those superchargers we saw at ZAttack - Hmmmmm......... Maybe next year. Drop me a line sometime - Hope all is well with your sweet-lookin' LS Z.

Sorry for the thread hijack.............

I have the Crawford CATS. They do have a raspy sound between 2-3K when cold. Once warmed up, the raspiness disappears, to be replaced by a deeper, louder, and melodious sound. This occurs as you progressively accelerate through the RPM range.

At WOT, there's a slight hint of raspiness from 2-3k.

Thanks man. For a moment there, I thought I was the only one with the raspiness . Great product, still.

If Crawford's cats were available when I bought my RT cats, I would have chosen Crawford's instead. Especially since I have heard of 6 RT failures in recent weeks. IMO Crawford's products and service are second to none.
