Thumbs up Just installed Crawford Cats

Install:
The install was not very hard, but would have been much easier if I had a lift to use. Some of the nuts were on very tight. I also had to undo the brackets to my Borla exhaust to get the stock cats out.

Performance:
I expected more butt dyno gains, right now I hardly feel any difference. I will wait a couple of days for my ECU to reset. My previous mods were Plenum, Borla, and Injen intake. I expected the same seat of your pants increase I got with the plenum.

There is also some rattleing between 1,100 and 1,700 rpms when the car is cold, but after it warms up it decreases by about 75%. I need to get under the car and see where it is coming from so the I can try to fix it.

I think the Crawford cats were a good decision given the problems that other people are have with other brands, basically the Crawfords have had the least complaints from what I have read. I hope this mod will further compliment upgrades I do in the future.

Give the ECU sometime to get adjusted to the CATS, like you said.

I gained +2 MPH in the 1/4 mile with the addition of the CATS.

The fit and finish on my Crawford Cat's was excellent. Every hole lined up perfectly. After installation, no rattling, everything snugged up tight.

Nice pic....how about one of the underside of your car!

I think that's the way I'm going...I don't want that raspy sound everyone else is complaining about.

Well, there is no raspiness at all, but the the rattle is still there. It occurs at exactly 1,300 rpms and lasts untill 1,400 rpms. The only time it is really noticeable is when accelerating from a stop light. I will soon get under my car and observe where the contact is at, and fix it. My car pulls noticeably harder on the highway, mostly 3rd gear, the day after the install I smoked an RX8 so bad that he quit at like 50 mph. I had been wanting to race one for a while.
Next time I am under the car, I will try to remember to snap a shot.
