AEM wideband with kinetix cats?
The vortech is going on soon, so I will need to find a way to hook up the AEM wideband sensor to my Kinetix high flow cats. I understand the sensor needs to be in front of the cat material. Has anyone done this? Is there room for the extra bung? It looks like it would be really tight. My other options are test pipes (raspy sound) or back to the stock cats (low flow). Any suggestions?
I mounted my AEM sensor upstream of my kinetix cats. Not a problem and easy to do.
Just as a side note, are you connecting the brace across your cats, as it ripped the bracket off my cats leaving a hole in the side!
I believe Kinetix now have a fix for this that involves a pad of metal that the bracket is welded onto to distribute the load.
I have a picture of my sensor, but need to shrink it as it is too large.

No, I took off the bracket when I saw your post about your cats cracking. I would really appreciate you posting a pic of the cat with the new sensor on it. Thanks.

Take the gauge sensor to a muffler shop and they can weld a bung hole for it.

you just need to weld the bung just below the 3 bolt flange...
any muffler shop can do it for you...
