question about nismo exhaust.....
I have a appointment to have my nismo exhaust put on tomorrow and have been reading other threads about it.The reviews seem to be mixed.I want a sound that doesn't sound too overbearing, or too ricey. So would you say I will like it or no?I couldn't find any decent soundclips. That would be appreciated. thanks

If you change your cats to hi-flow you will have more noise.... This is the point where most people are turned off by noise.... enjoy...R
IMO, you won't be disappointed with the Nismo exhaust. With stock cats & headers, your Z will sound stock at idle. As you accelerate, you'll notice a deeper, throaty sound over stock especially at 3500+ RPM. At WOT, you'll definitely hear the deeper throatiness, but it's a sweet, sweet sound! I loved it when I put mine on my stock Z - I'm sure you will too. Add headers & cats and all h*ll breaks loose - ha!
PS - Besides all that, it looks great! Ha!

I heard the Nismo exhaust for the first time last week and I have to agree with Z CRUZN. When the car was started, it sounded pretty much stock to me. When it was revved a few times, you could hear a difference, which sounded pretty good. If you want something subtle, the Nismo is for you.
my brother has the nismo theme with his car, and sure enough has the nismo exhaust. to be quite honest, it is one of the best sounding exhaust notes i have ever heard from a jap car, in fact any car thats not exotic. however, being me i had to chose something different for myself. i bought the injen SES exhaust and feel both exhaust notes are equally pleasing even tho each note is competely different from each other. my injen is most loudest between 2-3.5k rpms while my brother's nismo continues to get louder to the redline. anyways, i think u made a good choice. dont be afraid of sounding rice, because when ppl hear your exhuast the first thought to come to their head will be something on the lines of unique and exotic.

The fit and finish of the Nismo exhaust is second to none. The sound is exotic and turns heads. I don't think it is much louder inside the car at WOT. Its enough to over come the ugly engine noise at WOT. There is slight droning at 75mph. Most freeways the road noise will be as loud as the exhaust.
Zcognito heard my exhaust today and said it was perfect for the Z33. Not to mention he test drove the car with Nismo Grounding kit, and S-tune suspension and sways. He like the sound and the ride alot better.

In the last week i've installed 2 exhausts. i just put in my Nismo, and the other day i helped a buddy put an Injen straight tip in his Z. If i can, nick, in the next week or so i'll scrounge a digital camera, take pics of both and hook you up.
