Default Crawford plenum question

I am going to purchase one since it seems like kinetix can't keep theirs from cracking. I went to Crawfords page and they have a price of $395 for the plenum and under that number they have this: Original Plenum Core Charge : $200.00 (Refundable). I was wondering what that means and if that $200 is built into the total cost of $395 or if it actually makes the price $595. Thanks in advance.

It will cost you $595 originally to purchase the plenum, once you return your stock core they will refund you the $200, making your cost $395 + shipping both ways.

So I have to return the stock plenum (to get the refund)? What does crawford do with it, testing to try to improve their product or what? Oh, and I have to purchase the crawford strut bar too right? So the initial cost is around $800? Sorry for all the questions.

They use your stock plenum to craft another Crawford plenum. In other words, their plenum is a modified stock plenum. This means they need to keep receiving stock plenums to make theirs.

Doug at Crawford trusts his customers enough to charge them $395.00 up front if you agree to return your original core. When he sends you the plenum, he also sends you a return label. You use the box he shipped your new plenum in for the return. You put the label that he supplies on the box and either call UPS to come pick it up, or stop by a UPS or UPS store. Pretty simple.

Default As Lowrider said...........

Doug @ Crawford's charges you for the plenum only upfront. You then send back the stock plenum to cover the "core" charge. Sweet arrangement!!

there is a dyno on their site. modest gains across the board but nice big gains up top. a must have item if you plan to increase the rev limiter as it makes it possible for the engine to breathe well up top

the total cost comes to right about 550-600 (strut bar and powder coated plenum), but its definitely worth it, and the guys at Crawford are awesome to work with! If you can afford it, go ahead and get the polished one though....pretty!!!!
