Default NISMO Intake

I'm getting a NISMO intake installed in my Z at a Nissan dealer and they told me to avoid puddles cause it could suck in water. They themselves werent sure how cautiouse I should be. I'm in New Mexico where it isn't too wet but should I be concerned? Should I sell it and get something else? Thanks for any help..

I just got the V2 Nismo CAI - - the instructions say that you can use one of the extra urethane tubes in place of the bypass for racing applications, I haven't installed mine yet but being in Florida the bypass is a must, just in case.

Give us more info on this Fankencar, pics, links , etc.
Don't claim it's better than Injen or any other unless you can prove it.

I dynoed 5 hp and 7 torque on the dyno. I also did not lose any hp through the rpms. Its fully mandrel bent piping and can be bought with a apexi filter.

If you dynoed the Frakencar CAI, please post your dyno sheet to back your claim.

yeah I would not sink any cold air intake into water and hope the bypass works. Stay away from puddles or buy a pop charger.

I had a Nismo CAI installed on my Z and there is a foam filter bypass that comes with it up above the filter so if you do get into water it will not suck in any water unless it so deep that you could float your car in it anyway.
