I want to announce the beginning of a group buy on the Injen Super SES Exhaust with straight tips. The price for the group buy is going to be $800 shipped. I will be hosting this group buy and all correspondence shall be made thru me via PM. In order to make this happen, we need at least 10 people. This GB will go as outlined below:

1) If seriously interested, PM me your phone number
2) I will pass this info on to the vendor who is allowing this GB
3) The vendor will then contact you directly for payment info
4) Once 10 people are in, the GB will be confirmed
5) I will keep a list of screen names of those in on the GB
6) Systems will begin shipping around the middle of July

Who is the vendor?

 

I was told by the vendor NOT to specify who they are. They are an authorized dealer of Injen products and they are also a sponsor on this forum.

 

Thats cool but you would prolly get a lot more interest if we knew. Its all good though

 

prolly cause in injen finds out who it is, there will be problems. I beleive injen sets their MSRPs and if you dont follow them; even for group buys, they get pissed.

I haven't been following the development of the straight tip Injen, but what's the deal with the non-removable silencer? The reason I ask is that I remember reviews saying that the angle-tip Injen sounded like crap with the silencer in place. Just wondering what the new version sounds like.

you have the right exhaust? I dont have a silencer that Im aware of on my angled tip.

with that said, NOTHING is unremovable

 

I think so. I remember an Injen exhaust that had a blue anondized perferated metal tube that you could insert into each exhaust end and was called a silencer. According to the reviews I read, most people immediately removed them because they didn't sound good. Maybe they gave up on that idea and stopped including them.
