Default Kinetix Plenum Issue

the first 2 plenums i had didn't really do this, but my v.4's cork gasket is comin off the plenum the whole way around the thing. i don't know if they changed the glue or something, but it's a little annoyin. guess i could try to glue it back up a little at a time with some vice grips. anybody? thanks.

I am assuming that you mean that with it installed on your car, the cork gasket if peeling away? If so, mine is doing the same thing. As long as you don't pull on it or anything, you'll be fine. It's still creating a good seal.

we have the same annoying problem.

When we enlarged the flange for strength and durability, it extends past the edge of the factory lower plenum further than previous plenums.

We trim the gasket to the edge after it is adhered to the plenum.

Unfortunately we dont have a solution to this problem right now. It is a cosmetic problem, as it still retains a perfect seal with the lower plenum, but is annoying.

Yup happened to me too as the cork dried and warped from the heat and compression of the mated area. Since I had my plenum off for a bit ... I trimmed away the excess, leaving a good quarter-inch margin from the impressions made by the mated surface. Now looks better than ever
