Default Help with Injen SES install

I just installed the Injen SES and one tip seems to extend ~2" farther than the other tip.. I unbolted everything and aligned it and tightened it again and it doesn't really help much.. it also looks like the hanger is on the very edge of the rubber grommet, which is probably what's causing it to extend so far out.. anyone experience this before?

If you cat fix it, take it to a muffler shop and have them reweld the hanger so it fits properly. Cant cost more than 20-30 bucks.

thanks.. I think I will disassemble it and try to line it up again.. if that doesn't work than I'll call Injen and see what they suggest.. I was hoping that someone had experience this problem before and would possibly know what the problem might be

I didn't have that problem, but is it the passenger side tip that uses the part you have to bolt on to the car? I would think that maybe you bolted it on backwards or something.

not exactly sure what you mean by bolting it on backwards.. since it can only face one direction for the hangers to fit into the grommet.. but I will check it again.. anyone have any pictures or know where I can find pictures or possibly a DIY guide?

The install instructions have some real small black and white pictures that should help. Make sure your stuff looks exactly like the pictures.

Yea, I checked my entire install with the pictures 3 times already to try to figure out what's happening. Injen needs to hire someone who actually knows how to write up technical instructions.. or at least post up instructions in full color online like what hotchkis did with their swaybars

Definitely. Were you able to put on the metal piece on both bottom bolts that connects the pipes near the differential?

The two pipes that connect to the cans. Could be switched up or backwards and they somehow hooked up. Or who knows? Im only saying this cause I hooked it up on jack stands.

Hey Rome.. are you saying the primary pipe (right after the cats) with resonators or mid-section pipes can be switched around? I'm hooking it up on jackstands also

I know it took me at least 3 times before I figured out which pipe went on the passenger side and which went on the driver side.

Sagi I dont know if it work, but when I was crawling under the car it looked like you could mess things up with the pipes that connect to the exhausts. But then again Im no pro mechanic either.

I fixed it.. I had to switch the mid section pipes around and it lines up fine now.. I had the problem where the primary pipes were touching the cross member but I banged it out enough to clear the pipes.. I wish Injen would be smart enough to mark the pipes to show which side it belongs to.. ah well.. at least its on there and looks good..
