LOL - Close to my hotel in Akasaka is a place called Bingo Sport Motorsales. Sounds lame but the inventory rocks. I'll try to get better pics during business hours. The security cages they put up at night are hard to shoot through.
In this tiny room, I saw two Mclaren F1s (One a GT race spec), F430, F40, 2x F50s, MC12, 288 GTO (?), a Porsche of unknown significance and what is that blue thing? (Not a Zonda ... I just don't know)
Anyone spot something else or can correct me on what I see?

Just down the street too.

Aaarrrggghhh! I KNEW Tochigi sounded familier!!!
I just visited Komatsu's Mooka and Oyama plants yesterday. I was RIGHT there. So close!

I may consider this for tomorrow or a future visit. My company office is in Tokyo so I come to Japan often.
Thanks for the tip Bro!

Our office is in Chiyoda-ku but our big customer is in Nagoya, Gumma, and Saitama prefectures. You can figure out whom they are by the prefectures.
I will return to Japan in late Sept. and will visit the Tochigi factory.

Nagoya = Toyota (I used to visit Toyota a lot so I'm familier with Nagoya.)
Gumma = Honda?
Saitama = Nissan?
Well, it's Friday now and I was not able to get out to Tochigi. I will plan ahead next time and make an appointment to visit there.
Today, I will brave the subway system and go explore Tokyo.

Between Kaminarimon Gate and Hozomon Gate is a covered market to sell souviniers to foreigners.

It started pouring rain. This is typhoon season.

Local shopping area:

Department Dinner: Yes they are coworkers. (Ironically, the girls are Chinese, not Japanese)

Me at the famous Shibuya intersection: (This is the one seen in Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift where crowd parts so the cars can drift through the intersection. Which of course was done by CG.)

The 109 building is supposed to be famous ... not sure why.

A couple of my coworkers from the Tokyo office.

While posing for pics, these two hotties ran up and posed with me. LOL
(Yes - we were drunk at the time)

The Karaoke Area

Uh, we must have wondered into another area ... LMAO!!! On the positive side, American Express Cards are welcome at the sleeze shop.

Several hours after we were already F'ed up, we kept it going ...
One too many shots of Absinthe for Mikami-san

So we put his butt in a taxi and sent him packing before he hurts himself.

The rest of us stayed out past sunrise. I got to my hotel at 5am, passed out for 45 minutes, thew (literally) my crap into a huge pile in the suitcase and caught the 630am airport limo bus to Narita.
I didn't get much sleep on the 13hr flight to Chicago. Of course, my connecting flight to Detroit would be cancelled. Storms that morning had all the flights backed up with stand-bys so United offered to fly me home the next day. (No way! 2 weeks away from home and I am a 4 hour drive away, BS!) I met up with three rather attractive ladies stranded by the same cancelled flight. Being the gentlemen that I am, I offered them a ride back to Detroit in a one way rental car. I never offer rides to strangers for fear of being raped or something. Unfortunately, this time I wasn't ... LOL. Needless to say, I was pretty beat after the drive.
So travelling is not always as much fun as it appears. I didn't show you the other 9 flights I took, getting stuck in Beijing for 8 hours due to fog in Dalian, long days that seem to run together or meetings that you must fight sleep deprivation. Airfare to Japan is only $1000 on Northworst Airlines. If any of you feel adventurous, grab a tour guide an make a reservation. I assure you it will be great but expensive time of your life. (And yes you can get by not knowing Japanese.)

Good find with the Jag. When I looked at the picture the greenhouse looked like the R390 but what confused me was the headlights and wing on the back since every picture I found of the R390 road car had different headlights and no wing. I wonder how much that thing would go for.
