Post Grinding into 3rd.

Guys... I have heard of a few people reporting problems switching into 3rd. I am having that problem. I bought a 2003 about 2 months ago with only 10k miles on it and noticed I was grinding 3rd. At first I thought it was me learning the new clutch, but it was only happening 1 every 30-40 times shifting into 3rd. I finally noticed I had fully engaged the clutch 100% and heard it grind during normal shifting conditions.. at this point, I knew it was clearly not me.

Does anybody have any information on what this problem could be? or any information on a resolution? Is this covered in the factory warranty?

Thanks,

Take it to the dealership and see if they will cover it for you.

I more than likely will, but I just wanted to gauge others people to see if they have had the same/similiar problems with 3rd. That way I know how hard to push the service guys for a resolution or try and eat it myself.

If they try to refuse service for any reason, call Nissan north america, I think it's 1-800-NISSAN1 . That, or take it to another dealership.

Only 11700 now. I will make an appointment with the dealer tomorrow to bring it in.
