DON'T buy a z. buy an eclipse!

 

The noise you hear is probably the clutch throw out bearing.
It's normal. Listen to other Z's to make sure.

Zboy, yea the new eclipse looks pretty sweet and good stats. I had a turbo before Mits started squaring off the body panels. Nice to see they have returned to smooth lines.

 

Hey my car was made 6/04... can you tell me anything about my transmission? Like the model number? is it the latest? it's making that rattling sound a little bit more now i think, unless im crazy. i dont want to replace the transmission! THANKS YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!

If I knew what i know now, I wouldn't have bought mine ('03 6MT CS Performance).

 

don't get me wrong, even with these annoyances i still love that i bought the car, im just not looking foward to the dealerships

 

I agree I love my Z. However, anyone who says that "the problems are no big deal because you have a warrenty", has never had to deal with car dealer Service a**holes.

I got my new front tires but it took three visits. First they just aligned/rotated the worn ones. Then I complained so they replaced them. They put one on backwards and dinged my door. Then they fixed those problems and chipped paint off one of my front wheels.

Actually, I hope I never have to go back again (Sheridan Nissan in New Castle, DE).
