Default Battery replacement

I have run into a snag. The replacement battery I am using is the Duralast Gold from AutoZone. I have been happy with these so let's leave it at that. Nevertheless, I find one that fits (size-wize) and begin to install it only to discover the battery terminals are in the opposite position from the cables. No problem. I turned the battery around. Problem solved! Oh, was I wrong. Now the terminal posts are too far away from the positive cable due to the fuse attachment assembly. Aargh!!!! Any simple solutions?
