By the way, the Murano forum did this, and they eventualy got a fix and a recall for their alternator problems, so please post... it could very well help end any transmission problems, if we do find that it is indeed a problem.

I have had two replacements but my last has been a good tranny. I have put about 25000 miles on it with 10 high speed track events. Looks like this one will hold up.

Quite a few people have had 20k or more miles out of their 2nd, 3rd or 4th transmission, but to my knowledge, apart from the 008 transmission, there is no TSB, and no real fix for this, and I would like to see one.

I have 30k miles on my Infiniti and third gear grinds every now and then. Of course it never does it when the dealer drives it. It grinds more in the winter though.

Too bad I love manuals so much..

I've noticed like a thump in the automatic transmission going about 40 mphs or about 80 kphs.. Maybe from 4 -> 5 gear. When it thumps you can hear it as well as feel it..

I have no idea what it is..
