Soft Cloth Car Wash during salt season
Unfortunetely, I live in the midwest where salt during the winter time is an absolute nuisance. My new Silverstone Performance Z just got off the truck on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2002. I even had to wait until Friday to pick it up because of the minor snow storm we had on Wednesday.
At any rate, it would be extremely convenient for me to run the car through a very high quality, soft cloth, drive through, car wash that is .2 of a mile away from where I live, which would also help to keep the salt off the underside of my Z with an underspray.
However, I am a little unsure if that is a good idea, especially with the comments about the paint job on the new Z.
Does anyone have any insight as to whether this is a good idea or not? I will do hand car washes for the most part, but I like the idea on an underspray during salt season.

My concerns...
1) Low profile tires + tracks
2) Low Profile WIDE tires + tracks
3) any car wash that touches your car
The touchless systems should do ok.. but you have all the track problems as well with the low profile, and 18" tires.
Stick to hand wash places. There already has been a thread here about a guy in a touchless tunnel getting his rims ruined.
