Question Aftermarket fuel pump or not

The dealership said in order to fix my gas gauge, I need to replace the fuel pump. With that said, I was wonder should I go OEM fuel pump or the 255lph Walbro Fuel pump. All I have in my car is just a JWT popcharger and I don't think I plan to go F/I at all or at least anytime soon. Wanna hear the community feedback about this.

How much is the dealership charging you to replace your pump?

What was wrong with your gas gauge if you don't mind me asking?

The are probably talking about the fuel pump assembly which has the floater in it, it is a big plastic thing and the fuel pump goes in it, check with them as they may just transfer the pump into the new assembly.

As for switching to a 255 pump not needed unless you are trying to put more fuel through for a reason like FI no need otherwise.
