Default clicking noise from suspension

There is a clicking noise coming from somewhere on my suspension, I believe. Whenever I'm on the highway it's very noticable, otherwise it's hard to tell. Maybe somethings loose on my wishbone? By the way I only have 3300 miles on the Z. Thanks for any help.

sounds like rear axle splines, but I only heard mine driving around town, usually in low gears. easily correctable and should be a TSB on it. I'll try to pull up info but someone else will have done it by then

Sorry, could not locate the link, but if you do a search you will find that this is a common problem (I hope it is nothing more). My rear axle clicking was due to loose splines which required removing rear axles, repacking/grease, and retorqueing. It was covered under warranty. I hope yours is no more serious.

go to www.nissanhelp.com. scroll down to "bulletins." enter your car and the year and it will explain the TSB. hope this helps.

I have axle clicking, too. I know the TSB but haven't gotten it fixed yet. Is this something that seriously needs fixing that will otherwise lead to other problems? I always assumed that this was just a nuisance, hence my lack of urgency.

I do not believe it will result in anything damaging--just annoying. Many of us here have driven thousands of miles on it before correcting it on TSB.

Default Noise

Had the clicking noise in both of my rears. Took to nearest dealership and had it fixed. Mine were my CV Joints. Had them replaced.

Yep, common. Just take it to the dealership.

I made an appointment for Monday at 3:30. I asked them to look at the clicking noise from suspension, grease stain on windows, and weird noises from clutch... Man I thought 05's were suppose to have no problems.

One day for me: early drop off and late pick up. I had new stopper kit installed (for window grease streak), new d/s window motor installed, rear axle done (loose splines) and an attempt to correct wheel alignment/replace front tires (but needed to order the 18's) all done during that time.

Whenever I drive my car for the first time in the day it always seems to make a short burst of clicking at close to same spot down the street. I may make it 30-40 yds and then I hear a pop-pop-pop and it's gone. Not to return until the next time my car has sat overnight.

What could that be?

I've been waiting 6 weeks for the parts to get this fixed. Talked to the dealer yesterday and they have no idea when they will come off back order.

Are most of you just getting the bolts replaced or are there problems with the CV joints? The TSB is only for bolts not CV's.
