Default CD Player Problem...

When I use my CD player, the driver's door speaker doesn't work. When I use the radio, everything works fine.

Anyone else with this problem?

Jim

Does this happen with all cds? If not, it could be the way the cd is recorded. If this happens all the time, there might be something wrong with your wires.

It's a problem with the headunit. I had this problem just like you're explaining it. It only happens with the CDs and it's not consistent with when that left channel will cut in and out. This should be covered under warranty. I had my headunit replaced twice because of this problem. Now I think they got mine right. Talk to your service advisor and request a new headunit.

Originally when I told my service advisor, he mentioned that it was a lens problem and that I needed to get a lens cleaner. I was like WTF, you just replaced this headunit last week. But I did what he said and got a new one. Cleaned it but still didn't work.

Good luck.

Yes, this happens to mine as well. I'm on my second Bose Head unit. Both replaced under warranty. My warranty just ran out, so I'm hoping this one stays working.

Default hmmm

Mine was replaced twice as well... and now it's just fine.

Except now I'm having problems when the CD player is cold (ie winter). The cds tend to skip a lot then when the car warms up it's fine!

I'm on cd player/HU #9. 3 skipping, 2 with your problem, 2 that just stopped playing period, and 1 that was non-functional straight out of the box from the dealer. Needless to say, after 3 years, I'm installing a completely new system (which I vowed I would never do). Needless to say, your dealer should take care of it all.
