Default HELP WITH TRANNY! 50K MILES need advise

I have a 2004 G35 coupe 6MT and my transmission grinds when I shift..
Let me tell you more about my car. I blew my engine and I replaced it
with a used engine that had 20k miles on it. The car ran fine with the new engine but about 3 days later I noticed that my gears would grind when I shifted from 3rd to 4th and two days later I noticed that I would grind on all the gears... I can still drive the car, I just have to shift really slow..
I took the car to the dealership and they checked it out and they told me that I needed a new clutch and a new flywheel, mind you I had just gotten my JWT clutch and flywheel about 8 months (20k miles) ago so I was puzzle..
I thought that maybe when the engine blew it also caused damage to my
clutch etc..
So I then replace my clutch, pressure plate and flywheel (OEM) at a local shop, but then the problem persist.. So now the shop tells me that Its most likely the syncros inside the transmission housing..
My questions are:
1. do you think that when the engine blew at high RPM's that caused damage to my tranny?
2. Do you think my tranny will be covered under my power trained warranty?

I know that the dealer will try to say that I caused the damage since my car is moded..
Do you have any suggestions? tips? advise?
thanks guys

how exactly did you blow your motor? VQ's are very strong motors, and have only been known to blow from FI, but thats because of improper install and s.hitty tunes.

to make a long story short, I was running at 100 short of nitrous and the
cylonoids failed, thus releasing nitrous when I was on the freeway.
The VQ was no match for that.. One of the rods went out the side of the block..

Far as I know the standard warrenty on a G35 is 4 years or 48k miles so unless you got extended warrenty I think your out of luck...

this comes from someone tha knows nothing about racing.

if you really dont know abut nitrous you shouldnt be speaking about it.. i personally sprayed 225 for quite a while. and many many others have done the same. and the car takes 150 like its nothing.

a properly tuned n2o setup is just as safe if not safer than f/i

I made an appointment with the dealership for them to check it out..
Its worth a shot right at having them replace it since they would have to
prove that I did something to damage it.. By the way, the dealership doesnt know that I had the nitrous set up.
thanks

Yes blowing your engine will cause damage to your transmission.

I'm not sure how, but when my VW GTI blew its engine do to hydrolock, the mechanic said I had to replace my clutch too. He said oil would have gotten on the clutch and it would slip.

So yeah you're better off just buying a new transmission. They're like 1.5K. See if your new clutch and flywheel are salavagable and re-use if possible.
