So how often do you guys take your car to your dealership for a scheduled maintenance, or do you guys not go all together? I will make my first at 15k. Is this a good idea or can I wait a little longer? I'd like to keep my Z in tip top shape. Thanks in advance.

 

read somewhere to take the car in for its first oil change early. the engine is still new and has lots of little burs.. so it would make sense to do an oil change to get those particles out. other than that i just change my oil ever 4k miles with mobile one full synthetic and aftermarket filter.

 

So you never take it in for maintenance? Isn't that bad? Shouldn't you take it in so that they can grease up things that need to be greased and so forth?

 

dealership does all the maintenance when i go in for oil changes. so when i need an oil change i usually have a few things for them to look at. i just went in this weekend..

replaced trunk lift spring, greased clutch, vapor hose, and changed my oil. my rear view mirror also fell off this weekend. need to have it replaced tomorrow. i've gone to all my scheduled maintenances.

minor maintanence until about 60k. 110k would be the mark where your z needs some tlc. fix everything!! even if it's not broken!
