Please forgive me if this has been asked. I know it is annoying for newbies to ask questions that have already been addressed, etc.

I did do a search for "fuel filter" and maybe I missed the thread.

Can one of you guys give me the straight answer on the fuel filters for our cars? I'm an old Ford guy, and we changed out fuel filters every 15K miles. I had two Nissan trucks and the filter was supposed to be changed every 30K miles, but it was easy to get to.

Now I don't even know WHERE it is, let alone how often to change it!

Maybe Nissan has improved it to the point where it isn't an issue on the "Z"?


Any advice would be gratefully apprciated! Thanks a lot, guys.

Last I check the 03 didn't have one. There were threads about it cuz I was checkin on it too. See if you can find PDF copy of the owners manual.

 

I think its "maintenance-free" but I can't remember where I saw that.

 

The fuel filter is built into the pump, both are located inside the fuel tank. Basically, it's considered maintenance-free.
