VDC issue and "icy" on LED
I believe it's connection to the A/C allows it to automatically switch between outside air and recirculated air when controlling the temperature. There should be no conection with VDC. VDC works from the wheels sensors and the G-force sensor, see the diagram below...

Ok, it looks like the g-sensor is located in the middle of the car. Is it located under the exhaust mid pipes? Where is the VDC/TCS/ABS control unit located? I'm thinking either the g-sensor is gone, damaged or disconneted. What do you think? When VDC is on the car loses power and limps and makes horrible noises. That's why I was thinking the VDC system was influenced by the ICY reading. The only way to drive the car is with VDC off.
I know the PSI led always blinks and I don't get tire pressure readings as well. So are the wheel sensors seperate from the PSI sensor or are the one in the same?
That explains why I only get warm air coming out of my vents when at the coolest setting even when I set it to outside air, not recirculation.
The G sensor is actually under the console, next to the shifter. The wheels sensors are on the axles and are separate from the PSI sensors which are in the tires.
In most cases, when a sensors goes out, you will either get a CEL/SES (check engine/service engine) light or a failure light in the case of the brakes/tcs/vdc. Some or all of the brake/Slip/VDC lights will stay on when a unit or sensor fails.
There's probably not much you can do with the g-force or abs/tcs control module except replace them. You probably ought to take it to a dealer and let them diagnose the VDC problem. Damn computers make it next to impossible to debug and find problems without a Consult II module that Nissan uses.

How much you think the dealer will charge for diag on the computer? I have to bring it in for that gas tank hose TBS anyway.
That PSI blinking all of the time sucks, I wish I could disable that feature. I bet a lot of people here probably get the same blinking "psi" in the LCD if they've put aftermarket wheels on?
Update. I brought my Z into the dealership and they put it on the computer and found that the ECU thought the car was steering at .37 degrees to the right. Of course this was probably stored in the ECU after the wreck it had before me. So they reset it to zero and now VDC works perfect, problem solved.
I got the ambient temp sensor and now the icy issue is gone and I get the outside temp on the LED. So 2 problems down.
I still need to get the pressure sensors at each tire.
