Default Rattling noise when clutch is out

SOmeone else mention this in another thread... Is there a TSB or known problem for this?? And is it covererd under the drive train warrenty??

I assume you mean the sound that the transmission makes when you have the clutch out, trans in neutral and you turn off the engine, it sounds like marbles rolling around in there?

There's no TSB because there's nothing to fix. According to Nissan, it's normal. I brought mine in to the dealer, a tech. and I tried a couple brand new cars on the lot and they all make the same noise.

Sounds like the typical flywheel/transmission chatter. It is worse with a lighweight flywheel. It does not hurt anything.

I get that noise too. Really annoying, brought it to the dealer, and told me it was normal. Oh well I'll just have to deal with it

same... annoys the crap outta me but the dealer said it was normal as well.

Step out of your car while it's ratteling and wait there a few mins, you'll come back and ask 'i hear this intermittent popping noise with the clutch out' just a heads up..you'll hear that noise too
