About once a week, while driving, my air conditioning just turns on at full blast by itself; even though it's still on off and everything. I was wondering if ANYONE else has had this problem. I'm wondering if this is a sensor problem or something, but hopefully it isn't something too bad... Any info would be great... thanks....

 

this happened to my friends altima! i would jus laugh

 

pull off the lower center console part (the part with the shift boot) and see if the white cord that connects to the white box on the back is connected properly. when that cord is disconnected the a/c blows at full blast, so i suppose that could be it.

 

I had the same issue for about a few months, and finally took it to the dealer last week and got it fixed. Was just being lazy and didn't want to goto dealer. I had same exact thing happening and the dealer replace the A/C control unit. They had to order the part so it was actually 2 trips to the dealer, so far no recurring issues. Many have said on this forum that it is generally a loose harness wire on the back of the A/C control unit, simply unplug and plug back in.

 

yeah...that is most likely the problem...my A/C harness is actually cut....do they have this part as a replacement?

 

our last ride for the year my wife kept thinking i was turning the air on when she wasn't looking (shes always cold and i'm always hot)? It was about 5 celcius outside and we were trying to keep warm. Miine doesn't come on full blast but I did have the lower panel out when i was doing some stereo work, I'll have to check it out , thanks for the info
