I am having this weird problem with my 2003, 6MT 350Z from couple of days. It sometimes does not crank while i turn the key. After a couple of attempts like puttin it in first Gear or second or in reverse gear and holding the clutch it cranks all of a sudden. And sometimes bringing back into Neutral helps.

So do you all think this is a battery issue or the starter issue....i need your suggession.

 

Neutral switch on the clutch would be my guess. You ARE holding the clutch ALL the way in, correct?

 

I had the same problem with my 03 touring six speed. It only happened once or twice and never came back. I did find out that my battery is leaking. Haven't changed it yet, seems like the leakage stoped on it's own.

 

Thats right...i am holding the clutch ALL the way in....

 

i had my positive terminal loose from the factory causing intermitant no starts!
