Default Squeeking *after* a brake job?

Had front rotors and pads replaced last Friday. Still an intermitent very high pitched squeek - very quiet though. Is this normal? Are the pads going to take a week or two to break in or should I bring it back to the dealer to get looked at?

It is normal depending on what kind of pads you got.

Did you seat the Pads? (make 10 Runs, 30mph to Stop, Make 5 runs, 60mph to 30mph)

Everything was done by the dealer, would have to ask if they did this or not. Seems to be going away, but I can still hear it in the parking garage in the morning on and off.

+1. Bed the brakes.

Keep receipts in the car. If you get pulled over by the cops and asked “What the hell are you doing buddy” show them the receipts. It worked for me.

Is it normal for this to continue after a couple of weeks? Will bring it into the dealer but really would like to avoid another trip there if possible.

the dealer can't help the problem, read about bedding in your brakes. a small amount of noise is unavoidable with many brake setups

I used to coat my pads with a graphite coating. I would agree w/ others on this post.
