Default Current/past problems with your Z.

hopefully this will become a long log similair to what VQ made in the beginning, but now the car has been out for 6 months, and 20000 are on the road, so this will paint a more clear picture.

you can and should select all that apply, feel free to give details if you wish, and if there is a option that you dont see represented let me know and Ill add it.

EDIT: also please hit "I voted" so we know how many people total voted for reference. those that already voted have been accounted for.

I got a PM, lets just say right now that EVERY 350Z has/had the window grease streak. that way we can say "interior" is a vote for something else rather than not knowing if its just the grease streak everyone has or not.

yeah.. WINDOW STREAKS!! ARRG!! the bose radio keeps adjusting its volume by itself too.. and the paint is TOO SOFT.. or the clear coat actually. Just a little graze with my fingernail scratches it. Still having the 2nd/3rd gear grinding feeling. Thought it would go away after 1200 miles. Got 2500 on it and still experiencing it. Installed a grounding kit.. shifting is a bit smoother or maybe its just the plecebo effect

Knock on wood, everything else is fine. The biggest problems I have are rattles here and there that I can't replicate!!!

Ares, it will not allow you to go back to check the I voted box after you have already voted. You need to put your instructions first, then the vote. Excellent poll, if enough people will be honest, it will be a good data base for transmission to NNA and info for the dealers.

Have you requested your list of problems be attended to? I would suggest you ask for correction of those problems and contact us again with the results. Thanks for the help.

Could you tell us what your VIN# is and how many miles you have on it? It would help us put your car in context with our cars. You may have a running change we are missing in our earlier cars. We would like to know why your car works fine and ours may not. A running change that could be a retro-fit might help us solve some of our problems. Thanks for your help.

Would you be so kind as to tell us your VIN# and current mileage? We are trying to develop a chronology of factory model runs to ascertain differences from both the earlier and later cars. Your information would be helpful in our task. Thanks for your help.

3rd gear (mt) had to be sent away, was grinding no matter how far clutch was in.
they FORGOT to plug in in-car temp sensor so AC would either cool or heat no in between.
Had a quick problem but went away with driver window when you hit auto-up it went then dropped back down halfway on its own but that stopped

I've had an engine oil leak on the drivers side of the engine. Luck for me I finally changed my own oil to discover it because the dealer would have never have said anything.

Got the tire feathering problem.

Finally my transmission suddenly started grinding in all gears. I never had problems then just like a light switch I started having all kinds of problems with the tranny. My favorite is when I put it in gear and release the clutch and it revs like its in neutral. Dealer says there is they can't find anything wrong.

Other than that I have a love hate relationship with my car.

ASSHAT? Anatomically challenging, if I may venture a guess.

No problems not even a streaky window. I have one plastic tap in the back that I think is a piece of plastic on the rear brace. No big deal I will isolate it sometime. Anyways, VIN 1-11314. Does the one in front denote side airbags or lack of side airbags? Does 0 indicate side airbags are present?
