Hey, nobody has a rocking seat? Mine rocks like a ****. I've noticed that if you take it all the way down at the side wheel, it rocks less, but I already took it to the dealer and they supposedly took care of it, same with the window streak. Now I have them both at a lesser degree. Regarding the feathering, they didn't even ask when I took it in for alignment and tire noise while braking, they told me they ordered new tires for the front and will call me when they arrive for instal and aligning.

Cool My vote...

I voted interior/electrical issues and radio issues. On the very first drive home I lowered the passenger window and when I tried to put the window up it hit the stop and backed off 6" to 8" and wouldn't close! Two trips to the dealer later and a new window motor and the issue is fixed.

I've got the BOSE stereo and it's terrible. From what I can tell the original BOSE had too much BASS. I must have a car built after Nissan fixed the complaints on too much BASS since my car has no BASS and NO midrange. BOSE sent me a note saying they would let me know what the fix is soon.

Other than that the car has been perfect.

I just picked up my car this past week and the voltometer is not working, something came loose. I'm hearing some sort of rattling sound from the back passenger side, and my cupholder is now broken. Overall I love the car and I just found out about this tire problem. hope i don't get it

Mine does the same thing. I always hit the button twice!

My ABS/brake lights have come on while driving for no aparant reason. They go off after I turn off the engine and restart the car. I took it to the dealer and they said that they reset the ABS - that it could have been caused by one tire moving faster than the other. Two days later, the lights were back on. I am planning to take it back to the dealer, but with this intermittant problem, it's not likely that it will happen during their test drive.

Just got off the phone with Motor Trend's Jeff Bartlett Online Editorial Director. It seems that there are fellow 350Z owners who have already contacted him about the issue with our tires cupping. He is begining to look into the issue and plans to publish a letter that will communicate our issue in Motor Trend Magazine as well as publish it online. Please call him if you are having this issue with your tires.

Jeff Bartlett 323/782-2188 or Kevin Smith 212-726-4300. The more peolple he hears from the more power we will have.

Yeah when you look at it it's way too heavy (the Home Link Mirror one, not sure if it's standard) for the brace that supports it and Nissan was cool they have them in stock and can replace it in an hour.

That's my theory because from day one I was constantly adjusting it back upwards (toward the roof) and I talked to others and their's never moved. I thought it was normal till it just snapped as I aproached a stop sign. It was a fitting end to that week I just looked at it and shook my head.

Ok thought I had escaped the major issues listed here - the tire feathering doesn't look too bad so far - 9600 miles - had the car since september 16th 02. The grease on the windows is a pain in the *** but not enough to get me in to have my doors ripped off by my friendly nissan mechanic. The gear boxs seems ok, a little notchy once in a while but doesn't seem to have gotten any worse over time. The suspension sucks - can't dispute that, but will up grade to Nismo at some point. Unfortunately last night the "Service Engine Soon" light came on, interestingly it seemed to happen just as I entered a rain storm and turned my lights on..... Stay tuned it is off to the shop tomorrow to see what the issue is!

My service engine came one once back in March-ish. The story the dealer gave me was that it lost the seal on the gas cap. Sounds like a line, but they reset the computer and it has never happened again. (I always give the cap an extra twist after filling up).

It's not a line it's true, a documented fact in the owner's manual. There are instructions here on this great forum on not only how to check what CES lights are but how to clear them too! It has saved me time in the past.

Search for Username MaxHax keywords clear CES light.

May save you a trip to the dealer next time!

Sent my Touring in for the streak in window. They said they have to replace a broken/overly greased pulley. Appointment tomorrow for the sometimes grinding into 3rd, even if the clutch is in. Also emailed Bose about the stereo. Here is their reply:

Thank you for contacting us regarding your disappointment with the Bose Music System in your 2003 Nissan 350Z. The current performance level of this system does not meet our corporate standards and we are

I recieved that the 28th of May... Still no reply...
In addition, has anyone been getting a vibrating/deep rumble when deccelerating in 3rd gear around 3-4k rpm?

The rattling from the back passenger side may be from the seatbelt not hooked against the car. I was wondering what that was until I had someone ride with me to find out. Just slide the seatbelt in the hook and it might go away... that is if the rattling isn't from something major =\ in that case... Good luck!
