Default changing diff cover

I am going to be changing my diff cover to the Nismo one and I was wondering if there is a gasket between the cover and the diff housing? I can't seem to find out if there is one or not.

Apparently not. The FSM lists oil seals on the front and sides. The only gasket is the one on the drain plug.

No prob. I'm going to do the diff cover, 3.9 and lsd all at the same time. I hope to have it done by the end of Feb. I'm going to send the diff cover off to be powder coated first.

Many components like that now days have no gaskets---Gaskets fail and quality sealant doesnt. Also, machining is so much better and because of it the mating surfaces are more sealant friendly---I use a sealant I get through International Harvester that they use on their Diesels thats awesome, but PERMATEX Ultra Grey is fine for that

Question, one of the 2 reason for buying this cover is to improved heat exchange over the aluminum fins of the cover. won't powder coating it inhibit that exchange of heat?
