MAF still connected?
Did you damage the MAF?
Reset the ECU?
Shove a potato into the tube before installing the filter?

It would better help if you went thru the steps you took.

I followed the directions step by step. I disconnected the battery and also if i give it gas it kills it quicker. The MAF is also re-connected.

Did you reverse the MAF? Take a picture of your engine bay and the whole assembly.

Did you disconnect the TB? Also, did you ever turn on the car before reconnecting everything?

Ok , Sorry......I just saw that response and couldn't understand.

I would check out the 02 sensors they might be giving false readings, or there is one not working properly. In any case I think I would try to get it to a dealership for absolute sure.

You'll need to see what the codes are first in order to tell what the problem is. Clearing a code doesn't wipe away the problem. Leave the MAF connected. Of course the car isn't going to run right with it unhooked.
