Default Build Thread: 2004 Theft Recovery Touring

Hey all. This is going to be my offical build thread. I recently purchased a 2004 Touring Fully Loaded 6 speed Z. The only problem was, it was a theft recovery. The thieves presented a fake ID and had the car gone for a little over one hour! And this is the outcome. This car is going to take me a little while to get together because I'm a 19 year old college student. I paid for the car myself and have to pay for everything, so funds are limited after paying for my apartment at school, phone, insurance on the other car, gas, etc. Here are pics of the car as I bought it.

What about the plastic covers inside the fender well and the front under body splash guard? Also I don't see the harnesses/plugs for the lights. Do you have those?

Edit: And washer fluid reservoir.

BTW good luck with your build. I'm too am curious to know how much you paid for it to evaluate how much you would have saved in parts vs. buying a whole one out right.

damn partner, you got one hell of a puzzle to put together. Sign up to every Z board on the internet and live on the classified section. Over time i'm confident you will be able to find most of the missing gaps. Map props for taking this on, the car looks brand new -minus the missing parts. If i run into anything as i do my own parts shopping ill make sure to paste links for you to look into. Good luck with things, it will be a good day when you got that thing back in 1 piece up and running. Not to mention the feeling of accomplishment you will have, gotta love the builds.

JDMFairladyZ33- I figure I'll have about 15-16k in the car when i'm done... I'd like to have it done for around 14 or so, but with all the little things, I dont see that happening too easily.

Also, what are the other sites that I can find information such as classifieds and so forth? Thanks

Driver's side fender
Door Sills < buy Nismo ones from a dealership, or just new aluminum ones, not worth buying usedBOSE headunit
Radiator *on the way*
Rad. support
Engine cover < you can find these for sale here
Battery/other corner cover
Front bumper reinforcement
Headrest
Fluid tanks
front Strut bar < you can find these for sale here
wheel well plastics
under engine plastics
Headlights plugs/harness

alot of that stuff I would look at buying new from a dealer... like the fender liner, misc stuff...

Yeah that was my thinking on a lot of the smaller things... only problem is, the dealer is really expensive on a lot of things and I'm trying to do this on a budget, yet do it right... that's why i'm looking for a completly trashed rear-ended Z that has a nice front end at a salvage yard that I can buy what I need... ya know?

seems like you are missing two major parts from the list... Driver and passenger side doors!

though it would look pretty interesting to see ya riding around without em

It reminds me of the article in SCC where they took a sentra SE, cut all kinds of parts off of it and ran low 14's

I'd suggest taking it slow and doing a bunch of mods while the engine is so exposed during the rebuild. good luck
