Default New Battery

Well this is for my wifes Maxima, but she uses the same battery as the Z.

Anyway, what battery do you all recommend. I was thinking this one from Sears, kind of pricey, thoughts?

Need one today and local, like Sears, ect? I am not going with OEM, they are pieces of junk. Went thru 2 OEM batteries in 4.5 years!

Where do you buy the Braille batteries?

I bought mine directly from Braille. Vendors were selling for the same price and some vendors didn't have them in stock. I have the 2015 CF w/ Mount & charger.

+1 On the red top. Just make sure to get the REVERSE TOP version of the battery. The normal one wont work, the wires aren't long enough to stretch over the batter and connect to the terminals. i learned that the hard way. Awesome battery though, had it about a year with no problems or head light dimming from my stereo that i used to get with the stock battery.

Currently, the Consumer Reports top rated batteries are the AutoZone Duralast. I've used the Interstate batteries in other cars for years and have been happy with them, but lately, their ratings by CU have gone down.

I wouldn't touch a Sears battery based on past experiences with them. The name "Die Hard" is rather appropriate. They will die, hard, without any warning and leave you stranded.

Took my battery in to Auto Zone and they said my battery was fully charged. Turns out, it was my corroded connectors. They didn't look that bad, but once I put new ones on, the Max started right up!

Put it on top of some cardboard when you store it.

In a perfect world, this is what you need to do---First of all, the closet is a poor place. If your cramped for space, set up a spot in the bathroom or the kitchen so it can breath a little.

Second of all, hook up a 1or 2 amp trickle charger to it-----Wal Mart, Radio Shack, Tractor supply. Plug it into a timer that u can get at the same places. Set the timer to run 4-5 hours a day

COST: Under 20.00

Set it on a rubber door Mat or a 1X6 board---Cardboard turns to dust if subjected to fumes ( FUMES, The reason to place it where it can breath, Your clothes may turn to shreds if you put it in the closet)

Have a Safe Trip
