As the title says, I just got a Duralast GOLD battery and for some reason, the ground wire doesn't want to tighten all the way to the ground post on the battery. I can pull the ground right off the battery. Should I just buy one of those brass universal terminal things and install it? Or is there another option.

No need, Get a pair of pliers and squeeze the clamp while off the terminal. Just a little bit at a time closing the clamp a bit. It might look alittle oval after pinching it but it will round out again after the install and tighten.
