Angry unorthidox pully squeal!!!

i bought a unorthidox ss kit and bought the gates belts that were recomended, no matter what i do the initial start in mornings and when the rpm gets extremely low they squeak LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!very embarassing leaving a party just after everyone admiring my car IT GOES OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have tightened multiple times could it be the tensioner pullies or the bearings from being tightened to much? i paid these idiots to put the set on and i think they ruined the tesioner!!! i have even replaced the belts recently
and nothing.....the idiots even stop helping me saying i need to pay them...

im just getting tired of hearing the sound out of my 2006 gt roadster.....i feal as if i drive a rustang or a pinto

I really hope you get it resolved...I would say check the tensioner and check that the pulley is well aligned with it (if any, i haven't changed any belts in the Z)
On my previous car (98 Eclipse) i had an aftermarket pulley as well and it would do the exact same thing. It would start doing it only in the morning, then it would advance to doing it everytime you'd turn the a/c on, also when turning the wheel all the way to one side. Eventually it would either pop (the belt) or it would lock your steering when turning.
No fun...I went tru so many belts that i almost resorted to putting back the original pulley.
My issue was mostly due to the fact that the pulley and tensioner were not properly aligned so the belt would sit a little off the tensioner which would cause wear to the side of the belt leading to all the mess and torn belts.
Eventually the tensioner was replaced a few months before i sold the car but had no issues since...

something definitely is wrong......the pulley should not squeal with the correct tension on the new belts. i would double check to see if those are in fact the right belts to begin with by disassembling and re-intalling. The initial tension adjustment should be just tight enough w/o squealing, re-tighten in a week or so if squealing occurs. Much better to be loose than being too tight... with no squealing of course.
i installed my underdrive UR pulley three years ago without any issues. Belts came with the kit from Stillen. Good luck.

The tensioner will get loose when you drive due to the vibrations.

You have to make that you tighten the set screw in front of the pulley.

Belts are tricky to adjust since the tension adjustment is many by feel.

However, Nissan does recommend a belt tensioner which measures the deflection of the belt across the pulleys. They also include specifications (recommended mm displacement and force).

Not too sure how much they cost but I might get one.
