Does anyone hear a whistling sound, i'm assuming its the transmission, when you're accelerating hard and the rpms get up to around 4.5k or higher before you shift? I've never driven a manual sports car before so i dunno if this is normal. It's a stock car. The sound is not that loud but you can hear it with the windows down.

 

Yeah I realized that about my 06 6spd as well. Im sure its normal.

Its either the transmission or power steering making that whining noise... check fluid levels...

 

i'm not sure if i'm hearing the same sound but i do get a pretty loud whistle at almost WOT and its completely different from the JWT intake sound. I never had the sound before until I installed my HKS exhaust. Mine is an 04.

 

Yeah I like the sound too..dont even have an intake or anything yet and it already sounds different from other stock cars ive driven. :]
