I need help on the oem brake shims. My car is making this screeching noise. I found out that it's the shims that are attached to the calipers not the pads. There is a metal part that is pointing outwards causing it to rub up against the wheels. Does anyone know if I installed them wrong? I can't bend it back and I need it to hold on the pads to the calipers. Anyone happen to have pictures of how the non-brembo calipers look?

 

I don't have pictures for you but yes you installed them wrong if the shim is making contact with the wheel.
