Default Strange ?

Okay so this is something that's strange to me that i noticed last night, i am not really looking for an answer just if some one knows whats going on,

so last night i am at light in neutral. my windows are down (because its 75 in feb i love global warming) when i press the windows down button (while they are all ready down) and kinda held it, my rpm's drop. like to 200 does any one know why? maybe my alt is dying? i also have the KPtech window thing so i can lower and raise them with the clicker. any insight would be great.

thanks

is it an auto? maybe a surge in power from the constant depression of the window button. If auto, do you have a grounding kit?

I don't have an explanation for why this happens, but I have noticed it with several cars i have owned. it's normal.

The window is at the bottom of its travel, but the motor doesn't know this. So it's trying to pull it down evenfurther. Since it can't the motor is drawing more power then if it is on it's way down. The alt is getting a pretty healthy load and pulling your eng down because of this. It's normal and hard on the window motor. Stop it.

He was screwin around ---Life is boring if you live by the rules

Be good for a laugh to have a quick load test on your Alt. But the thing is ..... the motors will draw more Amps if they are "up against a wall" so to speak.......For example: an air compressor (AC) will be pushing Max Amps as it builds air and if it is set too High (PSI) will eventually throw a breaker because the motor is working harder to do the job.

Your window motor is working its *** off to do the impossible-----Move an immovable object (the window)

This usualy due to the fact that you are asking you window to go down will she is all ready there, the motor of the window try to react to your order.
What this dose, is loading your alternator (By furnishing the power to the window motor) causing the engine to drop 200 rpm at this time. The window motor canot turn any more, causing him to use Hight amps will trying.
Hope this was helpfull to you
