This has happened to me twice now. I'll be in third gear...holding it around 30mph...and my engine will just shut off. All the lights on the dash come on. And when i crank it back over, it starts right up with no hesitation. My SES light is not on, and it is stock under the hood besides a k&n intake.
Any advice? Could the car be throwing codes right now even though my warning light is not on?

if the check engine light is OFF... autozone CANNOT check it... their code readers only check for codes that are ON... no stored codes...
*i work there.

my car JUST did the same thing and its happened twice. ! I also have a K&N intake on my car too being the only mod i have. Any correlation between teh mod and the stalling? im gonna go get my ecu read for stored codes to see what is up on thurs
ill keep u posted

ok had my z in to a nissan dealer and they looked into my computer and there were no stored codes
so im kinda at a loss for why my car did this, only 2 times so far, well see if it keeps happening

ok payed attention to when this stall happens.....its when im in neutral between gears coming to a stop, im thinking idle air control for me. Where is that located and how much to replace it?
The Nissan 350z doesn't have an IAC valve; it uses a system called ISC (Idle Speed Control), which uses the dbw throttle body to control the idle speed. If you really think something is wrong in that area, then the Electronic Throttle Control Actuator is the area you want to check. I would start by checking for a vacuum leak first and then go to the ETCA.
