your best bet is to push the button down and then back, dont be scared to use a little force....This happend to me a couple of days ago and i just said screw it and mashed it down and back and it worked! i had to this a few times but now its back to normal...weird...but I am warning....take your time and try everything...dont break you seats cuz of me!
EDIT: Also try pushing the seat back as you jiggle the switch around!

I've occasionally had a similar issue with my driver's seat.
My solution was a couple back and forth motions on the switch which solved the problem. I'm only assuming there's enough dust/dirt/buildup in between the contacts in the switch that needs to be cleaned.
That may not be the case with your seat, but it's worth a shot and a cheap/free repair option.

I have an 03 Touring, seat goes forward, no back. I put straight 12V to the motor and it moves. I reverse the polarity of the Voltage, it moves the other direction. So obviously the motor works fine. (note the motor is nicely in the front right side on the passenger seat and the connector is right there)
I got the passenger seat switch yesterday. And now the seat goes back and forth no problem.
Took the 4 bolts out that hold the seat down. Tipped it forward to unplug the 2 wire harness connectors. Yanked it out and set it on its side (headrest resting on the rocker panel so it didn't get dirrrty. Used a screwdriver to press the tabs on the old switch to get it out. The tricky part was getting the harness past the seat frame, barely enough room to get it through, hint: have the tab piece that sticks out pointing up to snake it through the less than an inch gap. Then reverse the process and your done. I heard these switches are junk, but luckily under $100.00 and 20 minutes labor on this one.
Good Times.
