Default Drive Side Window

Having a random problem with my left side window.

It Randomly wont work. Other times it works and performs fine. When it won't work there are no noises at all from the window motor or any other part inside the door panel. When it is working there are no strange noises either.

Is this a normal sign of pwr motor failure? Or are the switches known for going?

Thanks

research cleaning window motor. It is the first signs of what the dealer describes as motor/handler failure and it probably is just that. Some claim if you take apart the motor and clean the contacts it will improve the situation for another long haul.

From what you all are describing you hit the button and the window does nothing. Sometimes stuck up, down or half way in between. You hit the button again and it works like nothing was wrong. I had a dealer replace my driver side for the same thing under warranty. If you click the window switch up and down quickly - repeatedly you can probably mimic the failure which is what they will attempt to do. Good luck with things.
