I have an 03' touring model..


Never had an issue like this before in my life... about two months ago it started.


I go to fill up my tank and for some reason the last 5% or so wont fill up all of a sudden. The first time it happened I drove off not paying attention, a mile or so down the road I looked down and noticed I was at like 9/10ths of a tank. I figured the pump had just accidently switched off.

The last two or three times I have pumped the same issue, it fills 9/10ths or so and just cuts off. I can continue to force gas in a squeeze at a time...

I had the fuel line recall replaced like 2 yrs ago.. so I assume its not that.


Anybody experience anything like this? I've been driving for 10 yrs and never seen such a thing.

 

does it happen at a particular pump? you can twist the nozzle different ways and fill up or avoid the pump.

it's your sending unit.

 

same thing happened to me like a week ago, changed the fuel pump at the dealer.. they also flushed my tank told me i had a lot of dirt inside it!
