Pretty basic question: Is replacing the thermostat whenever I flush/replace the cooling system a little extensive, or is that good maintenance? I replace the coolant every 30k miles, and I'm coming right up to that point.
It's my first new car, so I'm just trying to keep her tip-top. But I still don't believe in wasting time/money doing things that are unnecessary. Does everyone else feel the same way about the t-stat? When's a good time to replace it?
Alright. I just know what overheating can do to a motor. I replaced my whole cooling system on my DD due to a leak, but I am just looking into the future for the Z and wondering what mileage I should look into doing the same.
